Galveston Island is one of the best birding locations in North America due to the spring and fall migrations of songbirds and shorebirds alike. From the comfort and convenience of your home in Anchor Bay you can enjoy the array of species that call the island home year round, plus get the first opportunity to see the rarer species that visit the island during their annual migration.

In keeping with its environmentally-conscious development, Anchor Bay will be building several freshwater habitats under the supervision of The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. This will provide necessary habitat for the local duck population as well as their migratory brethren.
